The e5 Instructional Model
The five phases of the e5 Instructional Model assist me in the classroom to define effective teaching practice and implement appropriate and varied strategies and processes to assist with the learning of all my students. In addition, the e5 model aligns with other design and teaching practices such as VELS and PoLT, allowing me to structure lessons or extended learning sequences using these different elements that are relevant to my students and class.
Using the e5 Instructional Model is effective in my classroom as it provides a framework for structuring a sequence of lessons or unit of work consistent with a constructivist approach; enabling me to use varied learning styles and approaches to keep my students engaged in the learning and content of my lessons.
